A Few Words About the Renowned Colombian Artist Cristina Rodriguez
The renowned Colombian artist Cristina Rodriguez was born in 1964 and has been painting professionally since 1986. She has a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia, a MA in Painting from the Slade School of Fine Art, London, UK, and was awarded scholarships from the Government of Colombia, the British Council and Delfina Studios Trust. She has travelled all over the world, has lived in Peru, Germany, UK, Zimbabwe, USA, Switzerland, France, and currently lives in Portugal. She is a modern, contemporary, and figurative artist.
In her long and fascinating career, Cristina Rodriguez has created more than 750 unique works of art. Each one of her paintings is a thoughtful and powerful expression of her love for our world and its inhabitants, of the need to respect and protect Nature and, of the necessity to keep up being hopeful, joyful, and full of wonder amidst the chaos and the cruelty that surrounds us. The great majority of her immensely valuable paintings are in private collections all over the world and because of their rarity and their high value, they are extremely sought after by art collectors worldwide.
