Cristina Rodriguez´s A Few Thoughts About the Magic Cape
"My amazing brother José María gave the magic cape to my poetic son Lucas when he was 6 years old.
He told him that whenever he wanted, if he had his magic cape on, he would be instantly in the ancestral land of my family, with José María and my parents.
He told him that whenever he wanted, if he had his magic cape on, he would be instantly in his magic forest, surrounded by the mythological animals that live there forever and ever.
My beloved brother took us to the most fascinating, exhilarating, exciting adventure through the Amazonian River and Lucas did not take off his magic cape throughout the whole trip. He knew that with his magic cape, he would have the most magical encounters with human beings and several animals. And he did, indeed.
The magic cape is in Lucas´s drawer waiting for his child to receive it in a special and unforgettable ritual, the same that José María did with Lucas decades ago."
