Eclipse de Lune
The image of the tree standing under the phases of the lunar eclipse reminds us of the immovability of natural landscapes through time. If left alone by humans, trees, fields, rivers and seas remain in place – generations may sit in the same spot and witness the same landscape over centuries. It remains a constant, itself witnessing the endless cycle of the sun and the moon, and their occasional meetings. How can we not be moved by the beauty of nature’s place in the world, and the way in which, through its spectacular permanence, it links history to the present.
