C'est sur une poussière de corail que se déploie cet animal lent comme un agave fixé sur une roche lumineuse des profondeurs. La tonalité du rouge orangé crée non pas une réserve d'eau pour l'imagination, mais un paysage splendide et tranchant sur nos attentes d' abîme, car l'eau vibre et renvoie nos songes vers un foyer brûlant. Mais ce poulpe qui joue et qui pose, prend ses attitudes mesurées de plante en grand désir d'offrir des vibrations de mollusque convaincant. Par les boucles calmes qui terminent chacun de ses bras souples, l'une après l'autre répétant le même accent courbe, la même pointe retournée de pétale élégant dans un jardin, l'animal se joue de sa parure. Docile à quelque ordre de poser sous nos regards, il se pare de toutes les beautés florales comme pour se comparer. Mais on le sent encore impatient de finir tous ses mouvements de ballet, et une tension vive créée par l'orange flamboyant contre le vert glauque, nous retient devant cet instant d'équilibre qui est loin d'être statique. Il est là et il va partir ; il ne nous donne que l'instantané, et c'est par les touches fines et contrastées des deux espaces mouvants, l'un de lumière rouge, l'autre d'animal vert inquiétant, que l'artiste a créé cette pose d'un instant qui est surprise, moment de passage et pure création d'équilibre.

On a speck of coral this leisurely creature unfurls itself like an agave plant attached to a luminous rock in the depths of the ocean. Its orangey-red tone is not simply an oasis for our imagination, but also a splendid landscape that decimates our expectations of a dark abyss: this because the water vibrates and deflects our daydreams towards a burning hearth. But this playful octopus posing like a garden plant is also trying hard to be convincing mollusc. Thanks to the gentle curls at the end of each of his supple arms repeating one after another the same curved shape, as elegant as petals in a garden curling at their edges, our creature toys with his own finery. Compliant in posing for us, he emulates covering himself with floral adornments, as if to compare himself to them. But we can also sense an impatience to finish his balletic movements, and a vivid tension created by the flamboyant orange against the murky green keeps us vaulted in front of this fluid moment of balance. He is here, but he is going to leave: he is only giving us this moment and it is thanks to her refined and contrasting touches that the artist creates this pose, a surprise, a fleeting moment and a pure creation of balance.
